McCarthyism In United States

The term McCarthyism is derived from the name of the then senator McCarthyism himself and this phenomenon is politically motivated. Its activities are associated with the actions which occurred during the time span lasting from the 1940’s till the end of 1950.This time period is otherwise referred as the Second Red Scare in the United States. This was a practice followed by many during this decade where they accuse others with disloyalty, sedition, and more without reasonable and provable evidence. The primary targets associated with this culture are the people who were government employees, people in the entertainment industry, social activists, members in the field of education and more. The main characteristics are the fright of Communist influence in major bodies in the United States.
